  • A candidate appearing for different subjects of the Departmental Tests of different papers can apply for the test in a single application form.
  • The applications have to be forwarded to the Joints Secretary, Departmental Tests. The detail address will be mentioned in the respective notifications.
  • Candidates can appear for individual papers or part of a test separately. But certificates will be issued only for a complete test consisting of all the papers.
  • The minimum required mark for a pass for a paper is 40%.
  • The application for the Departmental Test should be submitted in type written or stenciled forms.
  • Admission tickets are also included along with the application form.
  • Separate applications should be filled for the following purposes:
    • Admission to test
    • Certificate
    • Attendance Certificate
    • Mark List
    • Rechecking of Scripts
  • Candidates who pass the test have to submit their application for the certificates along with the original admission ticket issued from the Commission’s Office. Only one application is enough for more than one test/certificate.

Fees

  • The Application fees prescribed for each paper is Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only).
  • The candidates in the State have to remit the total amount to the Government Treasury under the head of account “0051-PSC-105-State PSC-99 Exam Fee” and the original chalan receipt has to be enclosed along with their application.
  • The candidates outside the State should enclose Postal Orders payable to the Secretary, Kerala Public Service Commission.
  • The candidates who appear for the first time and who have to undergo the obligatory test under provisions of their concerned department can avail free chance for one time.
    • There applications should be countersigned by the Head or Controlling Officers of the concerned departments, where the candidates are employed, with full official designation, address and office seal.
    • The free chance can be availed only for a single time for a test and not for individual papers separately.
    • If the candidate has applied for the free chance and he has not appeared for the examination that will also be counted as free chance availed.
    • This free chance is not available for employees in Corporation, Municipality, University, Electricity Board, K.S.R.T.C, Water Authority etc. But those who are in the Panchayat Common Service, and the employees of the Kerala Agriculture University are also entitled to avail free chance for their Obligatiry Tests.
  • The fees prescribed for a certificate is Rs.50/-.
    • The amount has to be remitted into the Treasury under the Head of Account '0051 PSC 105 State PSC 99 other receipts' and the original chalan receipt has to be enclosed along with the application form.
    • The fee prescribed for duplicate certificate is Rs.100/- (Double the fee for Certificate). An affidavit countersigned by the head of Office/Gazetted Officer stating that original Certificate is irrecoverably lost should be enclosed along with the application. (The Original certificate number and the name of the test should be clearly mentioned in the affidavit).
  • The fees prescribed for a mark sheet is Rs.20/-.
    • In their application for the mark list they have to specify the details such as address, Admission Ticket No., name of the test etc.
    • Candidates have to remit an amount of Rs.20/- under the Head of Account '0051 PSC 105 state PSC 99 Exam Fee' for each paper.
    • Candidates have to apply for the mark list within three months from the date of publication of the results of the Departmental Test.
  • The fees prescribed for an attendance certificate is Rs.100/-.
    • Duplicate Attendance certificate is not issued by the commission
    • But, the candidates whose original Admission Ticket have been irrecoverably lost, if apply for the Departmental Test Certificate, need to submit along with the application for the Certificate a duly filled affidavit and Identity Certificate with a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred Only) remitted by Treasury Chalan under Head of Account '0051 PSC 105 State PSC 99 Exam Fee'.
  • The fees prescribed for rechecking of answer scripts is Rs.25/-.
    • Candidates can also apply in plain paper for re-checking of their answer scripts.
    • The application must contain the Admission Ticket Number, Year and Date in which the test was conducted, name of Exam Centre and name of the Test.
    • An amount of Rs.25/- for each paper has to be remitted into the Treasury under the Head of Account "0051 PSC 105 State PSC 99 Exam Fees"” and original chalan receipt has to be enclosed along with application for re-checking for Departmental Test.
    • Candidates have to apply for re-checking within one month after the publication of the result of the Departmental Test.
