Eligibility: 

Age Limit: 
Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years on 1st January, 2013 i.e. he/she must have been born between 2nd January, 1983 and 1st January, 1992.
Age Relaxation: upper age limit of 30 years is relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government Servants of certain categories. See official notification for it

 

Nationality: 
A candidate must be either: 
(a) a citizen of India, or 
(b) a subject of Nepal, or 
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necesary eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.

Examination Pattern:

01 DAY : General Ability Test (2 Hour & 200 Marks )

29.06.2013 (SATURDAY)

02 DAY : Objective Paper-I (2 Hour & 200 Marks ) & Objective Paper-II (2 Hour & 200 Marks )

30.06.2013 (SUNDAY)

03 DAY : Conventional Paper-I (2 Hour & 200 Marks ) & Conventional Paper-II (2 Hour & 200 Marks )

Part I—Written Examination will comprise two sections:
Section I - Objective types questions
Section II of conventional papers. 
Both Sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The standard and syllabi prescribed for these papers are given in Schedule to the Appendix. The details of the written Examination i.e. subject, duration and maximum marks allotted to each subject are given in para 2 below. 
Part II—Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination.
